         The Philippines often experiences natural disasters becuase it is located near the Pacfic Ring of Fire. In the late months a number of earthquakes shudder some parts of the country. While there were said major damage or loss of living, these happenings could point to what they said “the big one” as the main Philippine faultlines have been triggered.


        For us in the Ivory Tower it is best to be equipped and timely for all prospects, because no one can tell when disasters will happen. Schools cannot be shut in advance due to earthquakes; nor can we hang up when there is typhoons. However, with proper guidance and early planning , every one in our academe can be prepared to react suitably during and after the existence of an earthquake. The best tactic is to initiate an emergency plan and impliment earthquake drills so we can impart in the knowledge of the students to do the right practice and to follow the procedures during an earthquake. These will help the faculty members to ensure the safety of the students. As we live in an area where natural disasters are a frequent occurence we have to include earthquake preparedness in our over all plan. It is important to practice and coordinate to earthquake drills becuase you may only have seconds to protect your self in an earthquake, practicing helps you be ready to respond.


        An immediate response to move to the safe place can save lives.  A minute in participating in earthquake drills can give you knowledge and will help you practice the right way on how you will save your self in times of earthquake.

    Truly, it is important to practice and coordinate to earthquake drills because we may only have seconds to protect our self in an earthquake, practicing helps us be ready to respond.  During the old years leaders has been responsible for deciding the role of womn in the society.  During this years, men  have been the superior while have been midiocre. Society has this creed that women are sole laborers and household workers and they weren’t granted the same opportunity as men. In todays world, women can now do many things that are one time were considered offensive. Becuase of the many many amazing women and their fight to be treated equal, women now have a lot of opportunities that weren’t available before.
